Just before retiring from the US Army in 1996, the whole army was starting to progress into automate and it really piqued my interest. After retiring, I went to work for the Department of Indiana Workforce Development as a Veteran Representative. It was my job to assist Veterans looking for suitable employment as well as assisting Employers looking for qualified applicants. It was during this time period that I learned two important things: (1 I really liked learning about computer systems and how to use them and (2 Small Employers would eventually need web sites but they were not likely going to be able to afford them.
So, I developed my knowledge by enrolling in DeVry Technical Institute and studied Information Technology and also took some courses at Vincennes University to study two levels of Creating Web Pages.
While continuing to develop my education, I honed my skills by creating and developing a web site for the Indiana Department of Indiana Workforce Development (now known as WorkOne Southwest) at Vincennes, Indiana. In addition, I created and developed the web site for the Veterans' Services for the State of Indiana.
Upon retiring from the State of Indiana, I decided I could help a lot of people by offering my services as a web site designer at a very nominal fee and thereby taking the worry out of that end of the business.
My business is very small and I have at this time only 4 paying clients. You are invited to go to the "Examples" tab and see the actual web sites as they are presented on the Internet.
If you are interested in taking advantage of my services, please contact me at jonmckee@wabashwebdesign and we will work something out. Prices are very reasonable and I do all the work.
